With the Actionbound app, your smartphones, a camera and a good dose of curiosity, we go out and look around: What’s going on in your city? What topics are being discussed? Where are interesting things happening? Who sits on the city council here, what do they do? And how can I change things?

The project “Poli-Tour” leads children and youth groups (10 – 18 years) to create their own multimedia tours through their district. Using their own audio-visual products (audio, photo, video), they illustrate the tour. They can freely choose the topic they want to research. By creating their own product, the children and adolescents can learn more about their own district and are encouraged to discuss and reflect. The project is guided by young adults between the ages of 16 and 26.

This project allows children to apply the tablet, which they know from their free time, for educational content. It is carried out both at schools and in youth centers throughout Saxony.

The project “Poli-Tour” was funded by the state-run program “Weltoffenes Sachsen für Demokratie und Toleranz” and the city of Dresden and ran from 2018 to 2020.
