Hello, I’m Marina from Russia! I am 21 years old and I come from Nizhny Novgorod, which is a big city near Moscow. It is the fifth largest city in the country. There I had been studying linguistics at university for four years and at the same time working as a language teacher in different language centers for two years. I taught English and German to Russian youngsters (10-15 year olds).

To be honest, I’m a big fan of Germany, I’ve lived here for three months in Berlin and Hamburg. Once I took part in a short volunteer project (ijgd Workcamp 2016 Berlin-Reinickendorf II), I liked it, and that’s why I came to Dresden last week to do my EVS by PJR Dresden e.V. This will be my first experience of living abroad for so long (almost a year).

As I have already worked with young people in Russia, as mentioned above, I hope that I would be able to apply my acquired skills here and also learn something new in this field of work. I’m not sure yet what this project will bring me, but I’m pretty sure it will change me!
